Heading the request of Bushey locals, In 2019 Rabbi Yosef and Goldie Sharfstein and a group of Bushey friends founded Chabad of Bushey and the Bushey Jewish Community Centre, with a mission to serve the growing needs of the expanding Bushey Jewish community, and to welcome and inspire Jews of all backgrounds and affiliations with the warmth and joy of Judaism through educational experiences, cultural events, and exciting programmes.

• Judaism that’s accessible, relevant, and exciting to every Jew by empowering one to personally take ownership of one’s Judaism in a meaningful way, never underestimating the value of a single deed.

• Care and support for the welfare of Jewish people with devotion and affection - no matter the time, place or need.

• Living by the words "Love your fellow as yourself".

When Jews meet... They are not separate entities who happened to meet. Quite the contrary; they are one entity, one people who just happen to be dispersed. And when they meet, their inner truth is revealed— they are one people.
